<p><strong>Knowing and Information</strong></p>
<p>In my view, both the importance and the usefulness of the impersonal &#8216;world wide web&#8217; for esoteric groups &#8211; for a living esoteric tradition &#8211; has been overestimated by many people. I remember growing up in an overseas land where there was no television, where news was received by short-wave radio, and where communication with friends and nearest neighbours meant either taking the trouble to visit them personally, as there were few telephones outside of the major cities or towns, or writing then posting a letter and awaiting the reply. Newspapers, when they were available, were generally a few days old.</p>
<p>Although perhaps difficult for many people, today, to appreciate and understand this meant that one acquired a particular way of viewing the world and of doing things. The personal way, that often of necessity involved a certain effort and a certain amount of waiting. For instance, I can remember, later on in another overseas land, waiting weeks or more usually several months, for a book to arrive; since acquiring knowledge meant finding and asking someone who knew, or visiting a (usually poorly stocked) library some distance away, or purchasing a book from the nearest bookshop (also usually some distance away) and often then waiting because the book was not in stock and had to be specially ordered. Once such information was obtained, available, there then followed a learning of and from it, which itself took a certain amount of time, followed, in turn, by a period of reflecting upon &#8211; and often enjoying &#8211; the new knowledge so slowly and with effort acquired. There was also the feeling that one was on a long journey of discovery and that there may well be, and probably was, more to be found on a particular subject &#8216;out there&#8217; &#8211; in some books or books, to be learned from someone else, or found in some scholarly journal.</p>
<p>This personal effort, this wait, to find and then acquire knowledge was itself instructive, personally beneficial, although again many people, today, will not understand nor appreciate this older way; a way that, for centuries, formed the basis for traditional esoteric groups and a way I deliberately made part of The Order of Nine Angles.</p>
<p>This is why, for example, I consider and have always considered that the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; is now, has been for a decade or so, and may continue to be for a while, basically just a useful, convenient, medium for personal communication, a means of dissemination of information among our people, and a useful accessible informational resource for our people and others. Anything else &#8211; such as incitement of others, the possibility of recruiting a few people using this new medium &#8211; is secondary to this, and always has been.</p>
<p>For example, from the beginning, and for over two decades, when some new ONA MS was written, or when an aural tradition was written down, it was by means of a manual typewriter, and the resultant sheet or sheets of typewritten paper had to be photocopied, and then circulated either by means of posted letters or by being personally handed-over to others.</p>
<p>Now, today, that type of process is used only occasionally, with many of our newer MSS being available and having been made available on our nineangles website, just as my own &#8216;weblog&#8217; allows not only the dissemination of new MSS but also of occasional articles giving my personal view of certain matters. But what is presented by this new medium is information, not knowledge. Knowledge of some-thing is &#8211; as the Old Icelandic <em>kunnleik</em> suggests &#8211; an intimate, detailed, knowing of and acquaintance with that &#8216;thing&#8217;, whereas information (enformation) is merely a statement or a collection of statements about or concerning some-thing.</p>
<p>Or expressed in our now familiar terms, knowledge &#8211; as we understand it &#8211; is numinous, a part of one&#8217;s life, whereas information is lifeless, causal, an outer form. For in terms of esoteric, Occult, matters, <em>to know</em> is both to learn from personal experience and to place what is so learnt in a particular context, that of one&#8217;s personal internal and external journey along the particular way or path that one has, by initiation, chosen to follow.</p>
<p>What has thus occurred is that many people have or seem to have confused information &#8211; accessible and communicated by the medium of the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; &#8211; for knowing. That is, they by means of some computer monitor or some other modern means read or access some information about, for example, the ONA and then presume they &#8216;know&#8217; about the ONA or have knowledge of an esoteric topic written about by the ONA, whereas all they have done is make assumptions concerning or form a personal opinion about such matters, with some people even going so far as to then develop an opinion concerning the person they assume wrote such information.</p>
<p>For the meaning is in, acquired from, discovered by, the personal knowing. By taking the time, making the effort, to learn; to acquire a detailed, personal knowing of, and then to place that knowledge in the context of one&#8217;s own knowledge and that of knowledgeable others and which others one knows and respects personally or who have acquired respect by virtue of their practical experience and/or their scholarly knowledge [1]. The meaning, the knowledge, is not in the information; not in the medium that might be used to convey such information.</p>
<p>The reality is that the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; encourages a pretentious, spurious, or illusory, &#8216;knowing&#8217;, the rapid communication of this, as well as a pretentious, spurious, &#8216;respect&#8217; among and of anonymous others &#8211; something especially true regarding the relaying of messages by diverse people by means of some ephemeral &#8216;forum&#8217; or &#8216;discussion group&#8217; or something similar where those who do not know converse with, and argue with, others who either do not know or who pretend to know something about that which they have no direct personal experience of and have not spent years acquiring a scholarly, a detailed, knowledge of. In short, the &#8216;world wide web&#8217;, while having some advantages in respect of making information accessible, has the disadvantage of having become the medium of choice for a certain type of Homo Hubris and for the rapid circulation of their vapid, plebeian, opinions and assumptions [2].</p>
<p><strong>The Discovery of Wisdom</strong></p>
<p>One of the main reasons for the existence of esoteric groups, a clan, such as The Order of Nine Angles is to be a living hereditary repository of a certain type of knowledge and to personally, directly, encourage some individuals to acquire the culture, the habit, of learning &#8211; practical, scholarly &#8211; and thus enable them to move in the traditional manner toward the goal of discovering and acquiring knowledge and thence wisdom [3]. In the process of this moving-toward, some of these individuals may or will be changed, and thus become a breed apart, one of our kind; indeed, over almost forty years, the ONA has had some success in producing some such individuals of our particular, peculiar, sinister kind.</p>
<p>All the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; has done &#8211; as, previously, photocopied material posted to unknown others did &#8211; is enable us to present information, possibly incite some people, and provide an opportunity, to and for more unknown others. An opportunity, for some of these unknown others, of learning, and of using, applying, our Dark Arts such as that of Pathei-Mathos, and which opportunity some have availed themselves of, leading to a few &#8211; and only a few &#8211; becoming part of the ONA and thus beginning their own guided esoteric journey according to our sinister Way.</p>
<p>That some or many individuals &#8211; using the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; to spew forth their opinions and assumptions &#8211; seem to have mistaken the presentation of such information, and such an opportunity, for the ONA reveals something about those individuals, especially when they congratulate themselves, and are congratulated by others of their ilk, for their pretentious, illusive, &#8216;knowing&#8217; via some ephemeral aspect of something as ephemeral as the &#8216;world wide web&#8217;.</p>
<p>As I wrote over twenty years ago:</p>

<p>For the discovery of wisdom, esoteric and otherwise, involves an arduous journey of decades, and which journey is replete with much practical, personal, learning and many dark experiences.</p>

<p>In the beginning, David Myatt created a praxis based subversive ideology built on the idea that magian morality was a plague. The roots actually go much deeper than this, the ONA is actually built on three traditions, and it is said Myatt received the ONA from a LadyMaster, but all that is another story. It was Myatt, and his old guards, that set out to manifest this thing, creating aural tradition based on their own pathei mathos, taking insight roles to both gain understanding and further their ends, liberally using mundanes as resources all the while. This is the first incarnation of the ONA, which exists in the shadows as they always have, to this day. This incarnation brought about the 7fsw, NAOS, Traditional satanism, and the idea of sinister honour which remains core to all niners. Many traditional nexions and lone practitioners were born, and continue to be born, of this incarnation.</p>
<p>Some years later emerged WSA as a serious force of PR, and many niners/nexions came into the ever increasing light of digital reality. This was a resurrection for ONA as a public entity, and although the focus was the same as that of the old guard, based on the ideas of pathei mathos and sinister deeds, new forms such as E.N.S. were incorporated, as well as the idea and manifestation of grass roots gangs/nexions living according to their Dreccian honour. This second incarnation too still thrives to this day, gaining and adding to an ever growing aural tradition.</p>
<p>Enter 3.0. With the ideas of honour, pathei mathos and aural tradition at the forefront, the idea is to express these ideas in new ways, with new markets in mind. New causal forms, which will be manifold, expressing these ideas to those that may not listen otherwise.</p>

Toward The Dark Formless Acausal</strong>, Jan. 2009 CE</div>
<p><em>There has been much speculation as to your use of the word &#8220;Fayen&#8221;, which seems to have replaced the &#8220;yf&#8221; date code you previously used. Is there a reason for this change, and what does Fayen mean? Is the change in any way connected with a move away from NS type politics, which politics many associate you with?</em></p>
<p>Firstly, the use of that particular word, now and in the past two or so years, is quite deliberate: to mark the beginning of <strong>the third stage</strong> of one particular, and century-long, strategy of ours.</p>
<p>The first part was the codification of what it may be convenient to call &#8220;The Mythos of the ONA&#8221;. This involved the writing down of the various aural traditions inherited from the reclusive Mistress who hailed from Shropshire, and who owned properties in London, Oxford and Manchester. These traditions involved such things as Esoteric Chant, The Septenary Tree of Wyrd, legends and myths about The Dark Gods and Baphomet; culling, various ceremonial rituals, and the Grade Rituals. It also involved refining and extending the Tradition itself &#8211; developing The Star Game, for example, and writing basic guides such as <em>Naos</em>. This stage took around a decade or so.</p>
<p>The second stage was, internally, making most of the exoteric Tradition available by circulating a limited number of copies of various ONA MSS, and works such as <em>The Black Book of Satan</em>, and <em>Naos</em>. This created something of a &#8220;public profile&#8221; for the ONA, which was intentional. Externally, the real work of the ONA was continued by presencing the acausal, the Sinister, through supporting, and creating, various causal &#8220;forms&#8221;, through opening various nexions, through practical de-stabilization, through propagating and championing various &#8220;heretical&#8221; causes and ideas, and so on: to the greater glory of Satan, one might have said, and say. This stage took around two decades, or so.</p>
<p>The third stage involves, internally, releasing items and MSS concerning some of the more esoteric aspect [...]</p>
<p>Outwardly, or externally, the third stage involves continuing to presence The Dark Forces, via nexions, through supporting, and creating, various causal &#8220;forms&#8221;; through practical de-stabilization, through supporting and championing various &#8220;heretical&#8221; causes and ideas, and so on: to the greater glory of Baphomet, one might, with correctness, say, and write.</p>
<p>Thus are some esoteric truths here revealed &#8211; for the sagacious.</p>

<p>In many Order of Nine Angles texts mention is made of &#8216;the Aeonic perspective&#8217; and since this perspective is an important feature of ONA esoteric philosophy, and thus part of O9A culture and our aural tradition, some explanation should be of interest. <sup><small>[1]</small></sup></p>
<p>The expression ‘the Aeonic perspective’ – also known as the Cosmic perspective – is used to describe some of our pathei-mathos, some of our experience; that is, to describe some knowledge we have acquired through a combination of practical experience, through a scholarly study, and through using certain Occult faculties and skills, such as esoteric-empathy.</p>
<p>This knowledge concerns several matters, some to do with how we understand the individual human being, some to do with our perception of Aeons, and some to do with our praxis and the purpose and effectiveness of our methods and techniques both exoteric and esoteric.</p>
<p>An understanding and appreciation of this knowledge in all its aspects is part of the learning, the knowing, of those who are part of our culture and thus who are ONA.</p>
<p><strong>The Individual</strong></p>
<p>In our esoteric philosophy the individual human being is regarded as a nexion. As having both an acausal and a causal nature, and as possessing, or being imbued with, a certain amount of acausal energy and which acausal energy is what animates physical matter making it ‘alive’. In one sense, the psyche of the individual is how some of this energy is naturally manifest in us, and an esoteric praxis such as our Seven Fold Way – or our Way of the Rounwytha – are a means whereby we can rationally apprehend and thus come to know and understood and control such energies/forces, some of which are archetypal in nature when perceived exoterically <sup><small>[2]</small></sup>.</p>
<p>In addition, the nexion that is the individual is part of the matrix of all living beings, human, of Nature, of the Cosmos. That is, the individual is a connexion to all other Life, terran and otherwise, although this connexion is dormant and undeveloped in most human beings. That is, a latent faculty. One of the aims of many Occult ways – be they termed of the Left Hand Path or of the Right Hand Path – is to make the individual aware of this connexion that they are, open it, and develop it, and certain esoteric techniques have been developed in order to try and accomplish this, with Initiation often being regarded as the beginning of this process. Our techniques to open and then develop this inner nexion include Insight Roles, the adversarial praxis of the Niner, the Grade Rituals (especially Internal Adept and the Camlad Rite of The Abyss) and the acquisition of skills developed by techniques such as The Star Game and Esoteric Chant.</p>
<p>In esoteric terms this means that we, the O9A, are concerned with:</p>
<p>(1) Both Wyrd and destiny. That is, with the development of our Initiates and Adepts (their destiny) <em>and </em>with the development of Aeons, and thus with how the individual relates to those energies/forces which are beyond the individual and which effect them until they have completed a successful Passing of The Abyss when they emerge with wisdom: that is, with a knowing, skills, understanding, and experience sufficient to enable them to synchronize with, and then later on manifest, Wyrd.</p>
<p>(2) Both the sinister and the numinous – the sinisterly-numinous. That is, with the knowing, the experience, the understanding, of both and then a moving toward and a living involving the Reality beyond such apparent opposites.</p>
<p>In practical terms this means that the individual perceives of themselves as such a connexion, balanced between all of the following: (1) their own individual past; (2) the past of their own ancestors; (3) the past of Nature; (4) the past of Cosmic life; <em>and </em>between the present and the futures of all those emanations of being. Part of this perception is thus of the nature of Aeons and how they themselves are part of an existing Aeon, an existing presencing of wyrdful energies on Earth. This perception can then – and according to their newly dis-covered and understood personal nature/character – enable the individual to choose a way of living which further aids their own personal development and which enables them to presence acausal energies in order to affect what is Aeonic, with such ways of living including that of the (often reclusive) Occult Adept, that of the Rounwytha, that of a clan/tribe/gang, that of the adversarial Niner, and that of the Balobian.</p>
<p><strong>The Understanding</strong></p>
<p>Having such a perception, the individual understands causal forms, and esoteric praxis, as a means, and a means both personal and Aeonic. That is, as a means to aid their own personal development and to participate in Wyrd and thus participate in the change, the development, the evolution, of life itself, both as manifest on our current home, terra firma, and elsewhere in the Cosmos.</p>
<p>Other esoteric groups, especially of the LHP, do not present them with this understanding and thus cannot offer them the opportunity of such a wyrdful participation, concerned as such LHP groups are with guff such as the ‘deification of the self’ and the perpetuation of primitive human beings by means of a belief such as ‘might is right’ <sup><small>[3]</small></sup>.</p>
<p>In terms of causal forms, there is the initiated understanding that what, for human beings, is esoteric, evolutionary – that what presences acausal energy and thus Life – is inner not outer change. That is, that no causal form, no non-Occult praxis, produces or can produce Aeonic change, although such forms, such praxis, may occasionally result in some, a few, individuals each century, via pathei-mathos, achieving a certain insight and understanding and thence becoming changed, more evolved, human beings.</p>
<p>Or, expressed differently, the changes wrought by causal forms – by wars, revolutions, empires, nations, and through means such as politics or social reform, or by governments – are transient, and do not, over centuries, affect human beings en masse. For humans remain and have remained basically the same; rather primitive beings, dependant on and in thrall to abstractions, to their emotions, to archetypal forces, and never developing their latent faculties, never fulfilling their Cosmic potential, with only a rare few human beings achieving wisdom.</p>
<p>This is why initiatory Occult groups and orders of our kind exist – to manifest and maintain such understanding over centuries; to produce and encourage, over centuries, Aeonic changes, and to develop, evolve, human beings by means of Occult Arts and thus in the only effective way: from within; esoterically; by changing their character, their nature.</p>
<p>This is also why we insist on a personal knowing, on inner alchemical change; on individuals learning from practical experience, both sinister and numinous and both exoteric and esoteric. Why we are organized as we are, as kindred families and nexions, as a kindred collective, and as a culture with traditions both esoteric and aural. And why we take a long-term view of matters both exoteric and esoteric – for our perspective is that of centuries, of Aeons.</p>
<p><strong>The Order of Nine Angles</strong></p>
<p>The ONA is thus not some ‘causal form’, but rather a type of nexion; a collocation of human beings connected over durations of causal Time in particular ways who, by virtue of being kindred both esoterically and exoterically maintain and expand their acausal presencing over such long-durations of causal Time. A causal form is just that: causal, denuded of or not possessing wyrd/acausal energy; a manufactured, lifeless, thing, a tool. A nexion is redolent of Wyrd, and is alive, a type of living entity, be such an entity an individual or a collocation of developed individuals manifest as an esoteric Order.</p>
<p>An esoteric Order with an Aeonic perspective produces both internal and external change in an affective, sinisterly-numinous, way. That is, we not only change a limited number of individuals, personally, individually, by our Occult Arts, over long-durations of causal Time, but also – because we are redolent of Wyrd – directly and indirectly influence others, greater in number than the number of our initiates, by our very existence, by our ethos, our methods, our philosophy, our mythos, with some for example adopting and adapting some of our praxis, some of our Occult Arts, some of our esoteric philosophy.</p>
<p>Thus does such an esoteric Order as the ONA provoke an evolutionary, a sinister-numinous, change in some of those so influenced, whether or not they know it and whether or not they try to hide it from themselves and others.</p>
<p>As I wrote in another recent essay:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8221; We grow and have grown slowly, as befits our Aeonic perspective. Slowly, through personal contact, a personal knowing, pledges of duty and loyalty based on our code of honour…It means we are something of a large, growing, unconventional family, whose relations and relatives are becoming dispersed around the Earth, and who – unlike many extended natural families – have a shared, supra-personal, purpose and a shared culture.</p>
<p>Naturally, like all families, sometimes there are disputes, as sometimes a young son or daughter leaves home to adopt another culture or none. But by and large the family stays together, because of our culture, our traditions, our practices, our Occult abilities and faculties, our very long-term esoteric aims and goals.</p>
<p>Which is one reason why many of our people have been with us, part of our family, for ten, twenty, thirty years and more, and why we have slowly grown through assimilating their friends, their sons, their daughters, their relatives, their colleagues. And why we have recruited, we still recruit and will continue to recruit, in the old-fashioned way.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

[1] For us, <em>culture</em> implies five important qualities, and these qualities are (1) empathy, (2) the instinct for disliking rottenness, (3) the faculty of reason, (4) pathei-mathos; and (5) a living aural tradition. It is these qualities that not only distinguish us from other animals &#8211; and from Homo Hubris &#8211; here on terra firma but which and importantly enable us to consciously change, to develope, ourselves and so participate in our own evolution as beings.</p>
<p>For us, the cultivation and development of empathy is a Dark Art, part of the training of the Initiate. This particular Dark Art is a skill that rites such as that of Internal Adept develop. <p><strong>Introduction</strong></p>
<p>Since there has been much confusion lately as to what being ONA, belonging to the Order of Nine Angles, or describing one&#8217;s self as ONA means &#8211; and also as to what exactly membership of the O9A kollective involves &#8211; it is fitting that the matter is explained in words that are not open to misinterpretation.</p>
<p>Historically, the ONA was organized into &#8216;underground&#8217; cells &#8211; local Temples, groups, nexions &#8211; composed of a small number of individuals personally known to each other. Some cells recruited clandestinely; some did not. Many cells consisted of individuals related to each other so that they formed an esoteric extended family. Most of these cells were in the British Isles, and most followed the Seven Fold Way, with the remainder following the Rounwytha Way. The numbers involved were never large, and all recruits &#8211; even blood relatives of already pledged members &#8211; served a probationary period during which they were tested and had to accomplish certain tasks, with this probationary period generally lasting for around six months, after which they swore an oath of loyalty to their comrades and pledged themselves to follow the ONA Way.</p>
<p>Thus, the deeds, the accomplishments, of all those involved with the ONA were known to others.</p>
<p>Prior to the mid 1990&#8242;s ce, AL personally knew someone or several from most of these O9A cells, with the remainder known to someone who knew AL. Thereafter, from the mid 1990&#8242;s ce onward, a few autonomous cells &#8211; Temples or nexions &#8211; were established, in a few countries around the world, for instance in The Antipodes, America, Canada and certain European countries. These autonomous cells were established by people interested in the ONA who had obtained various ONA MSS &#8211; such as copies of <em>Naos</em> and <em>BBS1</em> &#8211; with a few of these people being in communication, by postal letters, with someone from the ONA such as CB.</p>
<p>However, most of these new groups did not last very long, anything from a few months to a few years, with the individual or individuals either founding a new, non-ONA, group, or joining another Occult group, or losing interest in the Occult altogether. Without exception, these groups initially followed the Seven Fold Way, with many using the form of Traditional Satanism, and it was made clear to them that, if the members of these groups and the group itself desired to describe themselves as ONA, they were expected to undertake the Grade Rituals, do Insight Roles, learn Esoteric Chant, and so on. That is, do practical sorcery; live a sinister life, undertake exeatic deeds. They were also expected to provide evidence of their achievements, for example either by publishing (if necessary under a pseudonym) an account of their experiences during the Grade Rituals and Insight Roles, or by sending them to their ONA contact if they had one, which is what most chose to do. A few of these people, inspired by our mythos, came to visit Britain and thence came to meet us personally, as we had hoped some might do.</p>
<p>After around 1998 ce, with the widespread use of the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; and the dissemination of ONA MSS via that medium, interest in and the influence of the ONA steadily grew, with a few more autonomous cells being established, one or two of which are still in existence. One of these autonomous cells &#8211; no longer extant &#8211; established an unofficial well-designed ONA website (naszdom) containing a good selection of written ONA material, with most new ONA written material (mostly written by AL) being made available by means of the &#8216;world wide world&#8217;, with many of these newer MSS stressing the importance of ONA-inspired people doing practical sinister deeds given the practical nature of the ONA way.</p>
<p>In addition, electronic mail made it easier for those forming new autonomous cells to contact someone from the ONA, as several of the ONA OG took to using the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; as a means of propaganda, incitement, provokation, and recruitment, and thus would occasionally participate in discussions on Usenet or, later on, on forums.</p>
<p>However, what tended to happen was that the majority of those who did make the effort to contact someone from the ONA via electronic mail &#8211; and who more often than not sought some guidance &#8211; did not provide or publish the necessary evidence of their deeds, of their progress along the Seven Fold Way, even though a few of them had proclaimed, via the &#8216;world wide web&#8217;  that they were ONA. Neither did they desire to meet with us personally.</p>
<p>That is, they remained anonymous, unknown to and untrusted by us, with no verifiable deeds to their name, while proclaiming they were ONA or were associated with the ONA. [1] Thus a situation arose when it seemed that anyone for whatever reason or from whatever motive, and anonymously, could claim via the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; to be ONA or part of the O9A kollective.</p>
<p><strong>Being ONA</strong></p>
<p>While we do not, due to our subversive, clandestine, and non-hierarchical nature, have a conventional membership &#8211; in terms of an easily found or public contact address; in terms of application forms, a membership list, fees, and the like &#8211; there are certain conditions a person has to fulfil and certain obligations to undertake in order to be O9A and be entitled to call themselves ONA.</p>
<p>Why? Simply because the Order of Nine Angles, as the name implies, is an order; a world-wide esoteric association of individuals who share the same ethos, pursue similar aims and goals, and who are part of or who adopt our particular distinctive culture. This culture has certain traditions, certain standards of personal behaviour.</p>
<p>Our ethos, our culture, is easily recognizable in two things. In what we call our code of kindred-honour, and in the necessity of practical deeds, sinister-numinous – and thence the necessity of pathei-mathos. Our code of honour means a personal loyalty, to people you know and trust; loyalty to people you personally know and trust, nothing else.</p>
<p>To be ONA means to be of our culture, which means &#8211; as our code of honour states &#8211; we are suspicious by nature, that we judge people only by knowing them personally and according to their known deeds, and that we value practical deeds over and above words.</p>
<p>Thus we judge if they are our kind, if they belong to our culture, by the criteria of: (1) personally knowing them, or (2) by them being personally known to and vouched for by others we know and trust, or (3) by the known public record of their deeds, although in this case doubts remain, with only a qualified acceptance until such time as one or many of us can personally vouch for them. Someone may claim to be ONA all they want &#8211; especially via the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; &#8211; but unless or until they meet one of the foregoing criteria their claim has no value, and they themselves have no merit with us.</p>
<p>There is nothing complicated here, nothing that is difficult to understand. Hence if someone does not want to uphold our traditions, does not like our standards of personal behaviour, they are not of our culture, not of our kind, even if they speak, or try to speak, our language.</p>
<p><strong>The Kollective</strong></p>
<p>The kollective is simply our kind co-operating among themselves, sometimes locally, personally, and sometimes with others far-distant by using the ease of communication that the &#8216;world wide web&#8217; enables. The operative term being &#8216;our kind&#8217;. It does not mean anonymous people calling themselves ONA communicating with other anonymous people calling themselves ONA.</p>
<p>In the case of &#8216;with others far-distant&#8217; it means establishing a foundation of trust, first. That is, establishing if indeed these others are our kind. Which returns us to either a personal knowing, or having some credible evidence that they are indeed our kind.</p>
<p>In addition, when we state that the ONA is a kollective, and there is no hierarchy, it means a kollective of our kind who know and who trust each other, and who thus are akin to a large extended, world-wide, family. It does not mean a collection of unknown untrusted people &#8216;on the internet&#8217; who describe themselves as ONA and who communicate and discus things with other unknown untrusted people &#8216;on the internet&#8217;. Thus, when we mean family we mean family: ties of personal loyalty, of duty to those you personally know and trust, and quite often we mean ties of actual kinship, one generation to the next, and of partners, of brothers, sisters, and so on.</p>
<p>Thus our kollective is our personal extended world-wide family &#8211; which may well include those in our own nexion, since they are or become our family &#8211; plus those, more distant from us, we know or who are known by others we trust, and so on.</p>
<p>Again, there is nothing complicated here, nothing that is difficult to understand.</p>
<p><strong>Conclusion</strong></p>
<p>This all means something quite interesting about the Order of Nine Angles, something that many, it seems have overlooked &#8211; enamoured as they appear to be by this new ephemeral &#8216;internet&#8217; thing and lacking as they do seem to be in certain Occult faculties.</p>
<p>It means we grow and have grown slowly, as befits our Aeonic perspective. Slowly, through personal contact, a personal knowing, pledges of duty and loyalty based on our code of honour; and more recently and sometimes through using modern mediums such as &#8216;the world wide web&#8217; and electronic mail <em>as a prelude</em> to such a personal knowing and such personal pledges. It means our presence on &#8216;the world wide web&#8217; had a purpose, an intent.</p>
<p>It means we are something of a large, growing, unconventional family, whose relations and relatives are becoming dispersed around the Earth, and who &#8211; unlike many extended natural families &#8211; have a shared, supra-personal, purpose and a shared culture.</p>
<p>Naturally, like all families, sometimes there are disputes, as sometimes a young son or daughter leaves home to adopt another culture or none. But by and large the family stays together, because of our culture, our traditions, our practices, our Occult abilities and faculties, our very long-term esoteric aims and goals.</p>
<p>Which is one reason why many of our people have been with us, part of our family, for ten, twenty, thirty years and more, and why we have slowly grown through assimilating their friends, their sons, their daughters, their relatives, their colleagues. And why have recruited, we still recruit and will continue to recruit, in the old-fashioned way, our ephemeral years using ephemeral modern mediums such as &#8216;the world wide web&#8217; and electronic mail having revealed just how inefficacious such mediums are, in esoteric and family terms.</p>

<p>Thus it really is quite amusing when unknown individuals &#8211; often young, often having little or no practical Occult experience, and invariably never having followed our Way to Internal Adept &#8211; pontificate about the ONA on internet &#8216;forums&#8217; and the like. Their pontifications have, in most instances, been written or said before.</p>
<p>Our respect is limited to and reserved for: (1) our own kind whom we know personally, and especially those among us who have attained at least Internal Adept; (2) those with a proven public record of <em>scholarly</em> works; (3) those with a proven public record of sinister deeds, and (4) those who, like their sinister deeds, are known to us personally. By scholarly we mean learned and having undertaken meticulous, unbiased, research over a period of some years.</p>

<strong> The ONA Lives, Long Live the ONA</strong></div>
<p><strong>The Scenario</strong></p>
<p>The basic rule we have operated on for some thirteen years &#8211; since some of us began using this internet medium to disseminate ONA material, via usenet, websites, forums and now blogs &#8211; is that the internet is just a tool, of incitement, propaganda, and information, with the possibility it might be used to influence others by default, recruit some people, and possibly have some fun and play the odd jape or nine. That is, it was or might be a useful extension of our &#8216;sinister game&#8217;, as outlined in the ONA MS <em>Playing The Sinister Game – A Brief ONA History</em>, and in which article it was stated that</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8221; you do not trust what people say about their experiences, their ‘achievements’, and themselves, or what they say about others, even if Internet contact (via mediums such as e-mail) has extended over a period of months, or much longer&#8230;</p>
<p>Complete trust is earned, and earned only by means of direct personal interaction extending over a period of causal Time. Partial trust (of varying degrees) may be earned by events in the real world – for example, a reasonable level of partial trust can be established by having some friendly private investigator or sympathetic police office investigate, trace the individual(s) you are in contact with, and check them out; and a lower level of partial trust can be established if their identity and deeds have already been verified by several non-internet ‘mainstream’ published and non-related primary sources, and which sources have also been checked.&#8221;</p>
</blockquote>
<p>To paraphrase and combine what SinisterMoon and AL wrote recently, until we know you and trust you in real life, we are suspicious, and just don’t give a damn about what you say, write, believe or think, although being sinister, amoral, people by nature we might sometimes pretend otherwise because we have an ulterior motive. Thus, while you may be pukka you&#8217;re just some unknown guy or gal among millions of mundanes posting stuff on the Internet or in self-published books and zines.</p>
<p>As more and more people appeared to align themselves with the ONA via the medium of the internet, in September of this year (2011 CE), Anton Long wrote an article which upset a few people who, via the internet and using nyms, claimed affiliation with the ONA but who were not known to any of the OG or to AL, and who, in the words of SinisterMoon, &#8220;didn’t want to or couldn’t be bothered to get to know us personally or believed it wasn’t important in ‘this internet age’.&#8221;</p>
<p>This is what AL wrote, which is quite relevant now:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8221; The Internet also encourages fakes, charlatans, imposters. For instance, both the nature of the Internet and the kollective, individual, non-hierarchical nature of the ONA have made it possible, and easy, for someone (usually anonymously) to make claims for themselves, and boast about deeds allegedly done and what tasks they have undertaken. Sometimes these claims extend to belonging to &#8211; or to having organized &#8211; some group or nexion of<em> x</em> number of ONA-inclined people for<em> y</em> number of years, and thus of having <em>x</em> number of ONA associates.</p>
<p>For instance, someone may claim to have spent three (or even six) months in the wilderness, and/or claimed to have gained proficiency in Esoteric Chant (and thus been a cantor in an esoteric musical group), and/or claimed to have mastered the advanced form of The Star Game, and/or to have undertaken The Ceremony of Recalling with opfer ending, and/or claimed to have undertaken a challenging Insight Role lasting a year, and so on. All of which activities are a necessary part of the training and experience of someone genuinely following The Seven Fold Way.</p>
<p>Furthermore, someone may create a &#8216;back-story&#8217; &#8211; a cover &#8211; for themselves and set up some ONA-supporting website or blog, and then spend some time &#8216;praising&#8217; us and our Way, only to later (as is often the way with infiltrators) try to cause schism and/or doubt within those who have been duped by them.&#8221;   <a href="http://antonlong.wordpress.com/2011/09/07/the-methods-and-tradition-of-the-seven-fold-way/" target="_blank">http://antonlong.wordpress.com/2011/09/07/the-methods-and-tradition-of-the-seven-fold-way/</a></p>

<p>AL followed this up with several other articles which made mention of such things, and one &#8211; <em>Who Do They Think We Are</em> &#8211; where he wrote:</p>
<blockquote><p>    &#8221; Just calling yourself ONA, on the Internet or elsewhere, does not make you ONA [...] The Internet is just one tool, among many. Our sinister-numen is not there; our people are not there – except that some of us may sometimes, and for a short while only, use such an ephemeral tool for some specific purpose.&#8221;</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Note the phrases, &#8216;and for a short while only&#8217; and &#8216;for some specific purpose&#8217;.</p>
<p>As PointyHat wrote in an article published in July 2011 CE, imposters, fakes, and infiltrators, operating in cyberspace</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;can’t affect what we are in any practical way (despite what they may think or need to believe) – for we are of a changing shapeshifting living sinister type of supra-personal life (a particular type of living being) presenced in the causal, and which life in truth can feed off such things and such people anyway. In clichéd old-aeon-speak, an archetype cannot be killed by mundanes, it just fades away when its aeonic time for death has arrived, and even then its remaining energy becomes transformed into something new. So, still using old-aeon-speak, our new archetypes (note the plural) now have life, psychic and occult energy, enough (are now old and established enough), to grow, thrive and prosper according to their/our nature.</p>
<p>In addition, no one, realistically, is going to infiltrate the inner (the esoteric) ONA given that it would take them around five to ten years of effort, involving doing the physical tasks of the Seven-Fold Way and the Grade Ritual of Internal Adept, forming their own nexion and undertaking with that nexion the Ceremony of Recalling with Opfer ending, blah blah; and given that such folks are always personally recruited by someone from the inner ONA who check their background and set them various tasks including many which involve transgressing mundane laws.&#8221;</p>

<p><strong>The Problem</strong></p>
<p>The central issue has been people using nyms on the internet (thus hiding their identity) <em>and</em> there making claims about themselves, giving their opinions, writing about the ONA, <em>and</em> claiming to be ONA or affiliated with the ONA or a member of the ONA kollective. All that while being anonymous, and not having kindred-honor nor even sinister sense enough to do one of three expected, and necessary things, given the nature of the Order of Nine Angles, its emphasis on practical sinister deeds, its particular code of honor.</p>

<p>Instead, what we got were anonymous people just claiming, on the internet, that they &#8216;were doing shit&#8217; or had &#8216;done shit&#8217; &#8211; which wouldn&#8217;t have been a problem if they hadn&#8217;t claimed to be ONA with its emphasis on practical sinister deeds. In addition, they expected us to &#8216;take them on trust&#8217; &#8211; as if we would trust what some anonymous person said about themselves!</p>
<p>As for our kollective, we make it clear right from the start it wasn&#8217;t an internet thing, even if others assumed or believed it was and that all you had to do to join was to say you were ONA via the internet. Here again, they might have taken the trouble to ask &#8216;those who knew&#8217; &#8211; those who like AL have a public record of deeds and experience, or those like the OG who are known to people such as AL or CB, and which OG for the most part have followed the tough 7FW to Internal Adept (with one or two venturing beyond) or who have recorded, as part of our aural tradition, their deeds and experience in sufficient detail and which accounts are privately available to people taking the trouble to contact them, get to know them, and whom they thus might come to trust.</p>
<p>It is extremely relevant that in the past thirteen years only three people, interested in the ONA via the medium of the internet, sussed this out and acted on it, thus showing the intelligence, the latent esoteric-empathy, the sinister sense, which we expect in our people.</p>
<p>We sure as hell dropped enough hints, in articles, on usenet, and recently and occasionally on forums we trolled. Obviously a test too far. A sinister game too far. Way back in the 80&#8242;s, and for several years and as part of our long-term strategy, Anton Long played our sinister game for real, in the fells and lakes of Cumbria, in the hills of South Shropshire. We&#8217;ve been playing it here, in cyberspace, for thirteen years, and have gotten the same result &#8211; a few people with potential.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what PointyHat wrote about the kollective in the aforementioned July published article:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8221; the real kollective is not in cyberspace, but in individuals (who work alone) and in nexions/groups/cells/gangs/tribes who do their own practical stuff in their own way in the real world and who blood-in or haze recruits in such a sinister way it tends to weed out the weeds.&#8221;</p>
</blockquote>
<p><strong>The Solution</strong></p>
<p>Now, that particular cybergame is no longer afoot; certain particular matters have been revealed, explained, openly; and we have been publicly honest about our standards, about not trusting anonymous people, about manipulating them sometimes, and how little we value the medium of the internet. The secret is out, as they say; revealed by us.</p>
<p>Where then does this leave those claiming, via the internet, to be ONA or wanting to be part of the kollective? It leaves those now and in the future making such public and internet claims about themselves, and their association with us, with the burden of public proof of themselves and their deeds, since we, who know, have <em>gone to ground</em>. Or it leaves them making no internet claims and just getting on with their sinister lives and by their deeds proving to their sinister comrades that they are ONA and thus who and what they claim to be.</p>
<p>Or it leaves them with the option of not directly associating themselves with us, but honestly acknowledging our influence on them.</p>
<p>Naturally enough there will be many, influenced by us, who will now go it alone while pretending (even to themselves) that the ONA had and has no influence on them or no part in their own development and understanding.</p>
<p>As for those claiming such association with us in the past, we expected proof, and honesty with us (in private) according to our code of kindred-honor. All we got (with one exception) were unproven claims, verbiage on the internet; no direct contact with them, and then &#8211; when we began to hint that we weren&#8217;t the push-over many had assumed &#8211; a certain confusion and, in some, a desire to disappear off the net, or bluff it out.</p>
<p>Now &#8211; when the secret is out and it is too late for them since we the OG have <em>returned to the dark</em> &#8211; all we get are excuses, or, more usually, a macho posturing more appropriate to mundane occultists. We also get, naturally enough, claims on forums and blogs that the ONA is finished/dead or irrelevant, that we the O9A are not and never were &#8216;real&#8217; and never did sinister things, that the OG doesn&#8217;t exist, and that it&#8217;s they, these claimants, who &#8216;are real, the real deal and are the future&#8217;, and so on. Now, where have we heard/read such things before?! Oh yes, five, ten, twenty, twenty-five, years ago.</p>
<p>Will those who believe they are &#8216;the real deal, the future&#8217; still be adversarial, &#8216;doing sinister shit&#8217;, in five, ten, twenty, twenty-five, years time? We doubt it. Will such groups or associations as they may form or manufacture be around in five, ten, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, forty, years time? We doubt it.</p>
<p>As for their words, on internet forums, blogs, and the like, who will read them &#8211; by whatever new means &#8211; in fifty, a hundred, years time? No one.</p>
<p>As for the Order of Nine Angles, we with our Aeonic perspective and long-term goals will just quietly get on with what we&#8217;ve been doing for forty years. Being covert, subtle, shape-shifting, manipulating, and slowly, clandestinely, and personally recruiting; personally training initiates and Adepts; and moving in a sinisterly-numinous way toward our long-term goals:</p>

<blockquote><p>(1) By more and more individuals adopting or being influenced or inspired by the ethos, mythos, and praxis of the ONA (both what it is now and will evolve to be), and thus becoming in personal character and often in life-style less and less dependant on the nation-State, on The System, on abstractions.</p>
<p>(2) By the practical actions – exoteric and esoteric – of those of our kind and influenced by us.</p>
<p>(3) By the continuing infiltration of our kind into certain influencing roles and within certain Institutions.</p>

<p>It was fun, informative, useful and &#8211; yes &#8211; Satanic. I&#8217;m talking about some recent internet spats after it became obvious that some folks who called themselves ONA or aligned themselves with us seemed to have made some assumptions about just who and what we are and just what purpose the internet served, even after we had published an article about playing <a href="http://pointyhat.wordpress.com/2011/11/08/playing-the-sinister-game/">our sinister game</a> on the internet.</p>
<p>The sub-title of a recent article by &#8216;Anton Long&#8217; should also have told people something &#8211; <em>The Occult, the Internet, and How to Offend People.  </em>Even then they didn&#8217;t seem to &#8216;get it&#8217;<em>. </em>Or didn&#8217;t think we were serious.<em></p>
<p></em>Offend people &#8211; and that&#8217;s exactly what we did. And test and challenge them as well? Expect them to have some Occult insight and skill, and thus some intuition about what was afoot? Of course.</p>
<p>We always said our people are amoral, Satanic. That we have different rules for people not of our kind. That knowing our kind is a personal matter; and that those not our kind are fair game.</p>
<p>We never said the Order of Nine Angles or being ONA was easy. On the contrary, the ONA is difficult, testing.</p>
<p>We never said we trusted or respected some anonymous person on the internet or that our code of honor extended to people we didn&#8217;t know and who only interacted with some of us via the medium of the internet. We never said our kollective could be internet-based and reliant upon and involve people we didn&#8217;t personally know and trust.</p>
<p>This stark truth about us and our amorality appears to have upset a lot of people and caused quite a few to change their opinion of the ONA. Some who were friendly are friendly no more. Do we care? No.</p>
<p>The truth is:</p>
<p>Some of the internet people believed we trusted and respected them in their anonymity. We didn&#8217;t.</p>
<p>Some people believed that what they wrote about the ONA and about themselves, and which written words they replicated via the medium of the internet, mattered and gave them kudos if they stayed around for a while claiming to be ONA and didn&#8217;t make the effort to get to know us personally. What they wrote in their anonymity or using some nym didn&#8217;t matter and they gained no kudos from us.</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>&#8221; </strong>What matters is respect, honor among our own kind, in the real world, not on the net. You can’t give real respect and trust to someone you don’t personally know. Our rule of honor is about personal knowing.</p>
<p>This [internet] medium is about information and propaganda – not about personal trust and honor among those you personally know.</p>
<p>Bottom Line is: until I know you and trust you in real life, I just don’t give a damn about what you say, write, believe or think.</p>
<p>Trust is earned, in the real world, not on-line. ‘Internet trust’ is something I personally associate with mundanes.<strong>&#8220;<br />

<p>These anonymous people using nyms had, over a period of ten years, plenty of opportunities to get to know us personally and so gain our trust and respect. With one or two exceptions, these mostly vocal people using nyms just didn&#8217;t want to or couldn&#8217;t be bothered to get to know us personally or believed it wasn&#8217;t important in &#8216;this internet age&#8217;.</p>
<p>Ever wondered why the ONA website and the main ONA blogs never had &#8211; with one notable exception here on this blog &#8211; links to the plethora of ONA affiliated websites and blogs that have appeared in the last four or five years?</p>
<p>It&#8217;s because we&#8217;re suspicious and don&#8217;t take the internet that seriously; because we&#8217;re patient in a sinister kind of way and so have an Aeonic perspective; because we know how difficult being ONA is; know that being ONA is a way of life, and know from experience just how many will fall away, give up, or have a change of heart, after some months, a year, or a few years.</p>
<p>So what the internet people created &#8211; an illusory ONA of anonymous people, and anonymous nym-using people aligned with the ONA &#8211; has now been debunked, destroyed. It needed to be and is no loss.</p>
<p>Already some people have manufactured assumptions about us for doing this, with some who previously were positive toward the Order of Nine Angles writing that &#8220;the ONA is dead&#8221; and that they &#8220;killed it&#8221; and that the ONA was mostly BS anyway, and assert that all we do is stuff like &#8220;chant in some cave&#8221; while claiming &#8211; still anonymously or using some nym, of course &#8211; that they themselves are &#8220;really doing shit&#8221; and we aren&#8217;t.</p>
<p>This type of stuff has all been said about us before, many many times over the past twenty years. No doubt it will continue to be said. Do we care? No. Neither, after this my rant, are we the OG &#8211; via this internet medium &#8211; going to explain ourselves anymore or counter such stuff, so if people believe or assume such stuff about us, fine. Ditto regarding what they believe or assume about us, the OG, going silent and &#8216;returning to the dark&#8217; as we mentioned, years ago, that&#8217;s what we were going to do and always intended to do:</p>

<h4 style="text-align:center;"><span style="color:#339966;"><strong>O9A &#8211; The Third Iteration</strong></span></h4>
<p>In view of recent talk about, and events concerning, the term ONA 3.0 / O9A3 / O9A &#8211; Iteration 3, it may be worthwhile to reprint an item by AL which expresses what we understood and understand by that term.</p>
<p>Three things about the item, in my view, are worthy of note.</p>
<p>The first is &#8211; <em>&#8220;It may be of interest to some that the symbol of O9A 3 is our esoteric Baphomet sigil: The Dreccian Moons of Baphomet.&#8221; </em> That is, our Baphomet &#8211; the dark, violent, goddess &#8211; as a new female and sinister archetype, and as a reminder of the need for and the importance of culling. For &#8216;practical sinister deeds&#8217; include culling.</p>
<p>The second is &#8211; the definition of anarchy as <em>&#8220;that way of living which regards the authority of The State as unnecessary and harmful, and which instead prefers the free and individual choice of mutual and non-hierarchical co-operation.</em>&#8220;  That is, of anarchy not just understood as a political form which one of our kind may transiently and exeatically use, but as a way of living for some people, and a way which aids or is part of our sinister dialectic, and thus aids our Aeonic aims and goals.</p>
<p>The third is &#8211; likening the ONA to an operating system for terrans is an amusing causal illustration of a type suitable for the new IT-savvy generation in the West <em>and elsewhere</em>. A marketing technique (or propaganda in old-aeon speak). Nothing more. If it helps &#8216;sells&#8217; the ONA to some people, and generates some interest in the ONA, that&#8217;s good. It it doesn&#8217;t work in terms of sales, it should and will be junked.</p>

<p>The following item is from the <em>Introduction</em> to short pdf compilation entitled <em>O9A &#8211; Iteration 3</em>  and which contains some recent essays of mine which I believe are relevant to what is generally now described in ONA-speak as ONA 3.0</p>
<p>Most of the essays in the compilation relate to the esoteric aspects of iteration 3, although one &#8211; <em>Bringing The Tyrannye Down</em> &#8211; deals with some of the more exoteric aspects.</p>
<p>[begin quote]</p>
<p>The current 3.0 iteration of the ONA may be said to be &#8211; using the language of the ONA &#8211; evident in the following<em> a priori</em> facts:</p>
<p>(1) In the authority (both numinous and sinister) of individual judgement and individual responsibility.</p>
<p>(2) In the necessity of practical deeds, sinister-numinous &#8211; and thence the necessity of pathei-mathos &#8211; to breed such experience and learning as are the genesis of such necessary individual judgement.</p>
<p>(3) In the kollective, non-hierarchical, nature of the ONA and thus in the principle of mutual, agreed, co-operation, and one of which types of such co-operation is evident in our clans and tribes.</p>
<p>(4) In the understanding of the illusive/restrictive/tyrannical nature of all causal abstractions and thus the necessity of liberating ourselves from all abstractions, and liberating ourselves from those forms &#8211; such as nation-States &#8211; which have been manufactured and which are maintained by the hubriati and their kind, and by mundanes, in order to try and manifest (to try and make real) some such abstractions.</p>
<p>(5) In the practice &#8211; the amoral praxis &#8211; of using what works, is affective and effective, and discarding/revising what has been tried and shown not work.</p>
<p>(6) In the knowledge of the mundanity of mundanes and the knowing that we, as individuals and collectively, possess wyrdful potential and certain esoteric abilities, with one such one esoteric ability being dark-empathy.</p>
<p>(7) In the desire to develop/transform/change one&#8217;s self and so evolve ourselves as members of the human species.</p>
<p>(8) In the necessary of accepting and living by the code of kindred-honour, and which code is individual judgement, individual responsibility, and liberation from causal abstractions, made manifest and practical.</p>
<p>(9) In the understanding that our code of kindred-honour applies equally to all of our kind, irrespective of their gender, ethnicity, perceived social/educational status, sexual preference (and so on) with the practical result that we judge people solely on the basis of a personal knowing of them, on their deeds (not words), and on whether or not and how well they uphold and live by our code of kindred honour.</p>
<p>These facts make us profoundly adversarial, heretical, subversive, and sinister. And also what has been termed anarchist &#8211; where by anarchism we mean &#8220;that way of living which regards the authority of The State as unnecessary and harmful, and which instead prefers the free and individual choice of mutual and non-hierarchical co-operation.&#8221; A way of life which, contrary to mundane and Magian perceptions about us, has been present in the ONA since its inception, and which way I, for instance, briefly spoke about at a Sunedrion in Oxford in 1988 ce [1].</p>
<p>An anarchist way evident, for example, in our disdain of &#8216;copyright&#8217; and in our development of a new type of free, open-source, community-based, operating system (OS) specifically designed for human beings: one to enable them to become independent of State forms and learn from their own experience, with this OS now being in its third iteration/release, and available in a variety of flavours, from Niner, to Drecc, to Balobian, to Traditional Nexion, to Satanist, to Rounwytha. A variety of flavours we shall add to, in the coming years and decades, by &#8211; for example &#8211; developing flavours suitable for the Asian and other markets.</p>
<p>This free human operating system [2] consists of certain utilities and certain programs, with some of the programs, for example, re-programming the psyche of the individual; with others scanning for and capable of removing interior abstractions; and with some capable of opening various nexions within and exterior to the individual human. Our utilities, such as kindred-honour and dark-empathy, enable useful work to be done in the realms of the mundanes.</p>
<p>All of which make and mark us as quite different from other esoteric groups, &#8216;out-there&#8217;.</p>

<p align="left">Here begins a lengthy self-serving Order of Nine Angles digression and explanation. So, excuses made, let me begin.</p>
<p>The internet maybe gives a somewhat distorted view of what the [ONA] core is. As I understand it, the core is the person doing practical amoral deeds, testing themselves, undertaking challenges, over a period of some years, and learning some particular esoteric skills. With some doing this alone, or with their partner; and with some being part of an established group or nexion and thus getting some personal (not e-mail) guidance if they wanted it. E-mail guidance doesn&#8217;t really count.</p>
<p>The key thus is the person doing stuff, enjoying it, learning from it. Using causal forms.</p>
<p>Those doing it alone didn&#8217;t have any face to face contact with someone from an established nexion who&#8217;d &#8220;been there, done that&#8221; &#8211; and was an internal adept, at least &#8211; and so often just took some ONA stuff from the net or from items like Naos and used them, and interpreted them. Keeping what they found useful or worked for them and ignoring what didn&#8217;t work for them or which they didn&#8217;t resonate with. Like, say, the nazi thing, or the overt Satanism thing.</p>
<p>For decades, this &#8216;doing&#8217; usually meant trying to follow the seven fold way &#8211; actually doing Occult stuff, rites, ceremonies, grade rituals. Both for those working alone, and for many though not all of those part of an established nexion.</p>
<p>So what seemed to happen here was that very few of those who came to the Order of Nine Angles via the net actually did the grade rituals, or built a star game, or learnt esoteric chant, or did an insight role, or did the physical challenges. How many spent three months doing the rite of internal adept? AFAIK, one. Yes, just one over ten years. Many just played at being ONA or pretended to be ONA via the internet while deluging us with verbiage. Others just cherry picked, and did, say, an insight role, or founded their own group, and that was that. A lot gave up, or fell at a hurdle when doing stuff like an insight role.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s fine, as they may have gained something from the experience. But one thing that was also missing here was the development of real Occult abilities. Another missing part was the ONA oral tradition, or as AL spells it, aural. Which many of the internet folks believe didn&#8217;t exist, even though early ONA typewritten MSS are full of the stuff, from Bron Wrgan to Sapphistry to King Arthur in Shropshire.</p>
<p>This is where the third phase of ONA development [O9A3] kicked in around three years ago, moving from the Satan stage to the Baphomet stage, as AL cryptically put it. Not that many understood the relevance of <em>our female Baphomet as symbol</em>, or got what this Baphomet stage meant &#8211; kudos to Chloe [of WSA352], who did get what the Baphomet stage meant and who, by bouncing ideas back and forth between some of the OG like DL9, was instrumental in giving it substance. Thus the form of sinister tribes and gangs [and Niners] came about, of a kollective; of the ONA evolving into a culture with an esoteric ethos, and which culture people could identify with, and be part of, without having to do overt esoteric stuff like ceremonial Occult rituals or believe Satan was an actual being from the acausal dimensions. This ethos and this culture meant folks living by our code of sinister honor, being heretical, adversarial, and being tribal, and this means identity, be it ethnic, &#8216;criminal&#8217;, or even of something like Reichsfolk (such as the ONA inspired NS gang in one US state).</p>
<p>But here again, how many were and are out there, doing heretical, adversarial, stuff while calling themselves ONA? Not that many. But there were and are some, and they know who they are.</p>
<p>So, what about our female Baphomet as symbol? Female Baphomet as symbol? WTF?</p>
<p>Sinister feminine archetype, anyone? Sapphistry? Bringing down the male-dominated Occult scene with its magian-infested forms and posturing macho males. Changing the emphasis from patriarchy to the sinister feminine and to tribes. In short, the aural Rounwytha tradition, and its evolution in concert with our O9A culture of kindred honor.</p>

<p>In an item on a blog posted yesterday, DD &#8211; who previously aligned himself with the ONA &#8211; wrote:</p>

<p>However, it should perhaps be noted that for us (the ONA OG), O9A 3 (aka ONA 3.0) has always meant the third phase of ONA strategy that Anton Long wrote about a whiles back now, for example in the essay <em>Toward The Dark Formless Acausal </em>(written three years ago, 119) and in the essay <em>Some Notes on Mythos and Methodology</em> (written over two years ago, 120).</p>
<p>The exoteric essence of this third phase is simple: (a) tribes/gangs <em>and</em> (b) the resurgence of the feminine in defiance of Magian patriarchy, <em>and</em> (c) developing the ONA as a world-wide kollective, not dependant upon one individual such as AL. For us, Niners are freelance operatives, part of the kollective, who strive to live by our Code of Kindred-Honour and whose personal character manifests the ONA Ethos but who, unlike Dreccs, do not belong to a gang, clan, or tribe. It really is that simple.</p>
<p>This means that the ONA is now, and has been for some years, much more than the Seven Fold Way, than the causal form of Satanism, than such esoteric traditions as the Rounwytha one. Or, expressed exoterically, that all iterations of the ONA &#8211; past and present &#8211; &#8220;although different in character co-exist within the ONA, just as a mature living being has within it the younger being from whence it matured.&#8221;</p>
<p>Furthermore, and as has been mentioned many times, two things should be born in mind. (1) That there is and has been since the establishment of the ONA an<a href="http://antonlong.wordpress.com/the-inner-ona/" target="_blank"> inner ONA</a>; and (2) that what is conveyed/written via the medium of the internet is not Aeonically important, as Anton Long explained in many articles over the past three or more years, including the recent essay<a title="Who Do They Think We Are?" href="http://pointyhat.wordpress.com/2011/12/14/who-do-they-think-we-are/" target="_blank"> Who Do They Think We Are?</a>  Which all means and meant that our real work is slow, Aeonic, person-to-person, and that are aims and goals will be achieved by:</p>

<blockquote><p>(1) More and more individuals adopting or being influenced or inspired by the ethos, mythos, and praxis of the ONA (both what it is now and will evolve to be), and thus becoming in personal character and often in life-style less and less dependant on the nation-State, on The System, on abstractions.</p>
<p>(2) By the practical actions – exoteric and esoteric – of those of our kind and influenced by us.</p>
<p>(3) By the continuing infiltration of our kind into certain influencing roles and within certain Institutions.</p>

<p>Also, over the decades, dozens of individuals come and go. Some align with us for a while &#8211; from months to a few years, or more  &#8211; and then go their own way, sometimes having gained/learned much in the process, and sometimes &#8211; as perhaps in this instance &#8211; remaining allies, comrades. All of which is natural and expected, part of Wyrd. But the ONA remains.The Inner ONA remains. Our Mythos remains. Our praxis remains.</p>
<p>All of which spiel just amounts to saying that our strategy and tactics, and our aims and goals, are unchanged. We are as we are, have been, and will be.</p>
